Dénia is a harbour, university and resident town all at once. The old town below the Castillo has older building fabric with some heritage-protected façades, the Las Rotas and Les Marines marinas bring yachts and holiday apartments into play, and the surrounding area between Dénia and Jesús Pobre has many detached villas.
