The mainland is not the same everywhere

Between Marbella and Sitges, between Madrid and the Murcia region, building fabric, burglary risk, traffic levels and the range of providers vary considerably. A policy that is well priced for Andalusia is not automatically fair in Barcelona – and vice versa. As an independent broker we check, region by region, which company and which cover make sense.

Regions and cities we look after

Costa del Sol (Marbella, Málaga, Estepona, Mijas)

Luxury properties with high sums insured, golf resorts, strong burglary protection required. Contents cover is often set too low, and liability cover involving pools and domestic staff is a typical topic.

Madrid

Capital-city flats in apartment blocks, where community policies (comunidad) cover the building but not the contents. We clarify what the comunidad policy covers and where your own policy needs to take over.

Barcelona and Catalonia

Period buildings with heritage protection in Gràcia, Eixample and the Barri Gòtic, modern flats along the Diagonal. We factor Catalan tenancy law and regional features in the event of a claim into our choice of company.

Sitges

An expat stronghold south of Barcelona, with many German and Dutch residents. Holiday flats and year-round second homes, wellness properties with pools.

Tarragona

Coast south of Barcelona, the Costa Dorada. An industrial setting, with older building fabric inland. We assess buildings policies for renovated properties separately.

Murcia region (incl. Mar Menor, Cartagena)

The Costa Blanca's neighbouring region, with many English-speaking residents. The focus is on contents, buildings and motor insurance. Our San Fulgencio office is within reach for in-person appointments by arrangement.

Frequently asked questions about insurance on the mainland

Do you have an office in Madrid or Barcelona?

No. Our five offices are on the Costa Blanca (Alfaz del Pi, Calpe, Jávea, San Fulgencio) and on Mallorca. Across the rest of the mainland we work remotely.

Is remote service just as secure as a local office?

Yes – communication with Spanish insurers is largely in writing anyway. What matters is that your contact speaks your language, knows the market and stays reachable. That is exactly what we offer.

Can I have an existing policy reviewed?

Yes. Send us your documents by email – we will tell you honestly whether switching is worthwhile or your current policy is a good fit.
